Watersmeet

(occurrerunt aquæ)

Indication: Communication/ Negotiation
Encourages communication, greater tolerance and understanding between those of different races, cultural backgrounds or social economic influences. Promotes you to return to your heart and to learn to speak and act from the common ground of your sentient wisdom.

I am that…where the waters meet. To the North the Ontonagon River, to the South the Wisconsin River, to the East the Brule River and to the West the Flambeau River. In all directions I fan out like a radiant star penetrating both the Heavens and Mother Earth.

Watersmeet is the high point among many waters. It is said that it was the center for a large civilization of Coptic Christians called the Mons in the third century who, although not the first Eurasians in the Americas, were very prevalent in the Great Lakes regions. The Mons left vast records of their influence here in the Midwest seen in mound effigies throughout Michigan, the Ohio valley, Wisconsin and along the Mississippi River to Louisiana. The mounds contained thousands of stone, copper, and clay tablets containing biblical stories in hieroglyphic writing that is a hybrid between Egyptian, Hebrew and Greek written in a unique cuneiform.

Located here close to Lake Michigan's waters is Watersmeet, situated on a powerful Earth grid line in Michigan's Upper Peninsula near the Wisconsin border. From this place one could travel in all directions, send communications and receive visitors and goods reliably.

The essence of Watersmeet deals with social order, mental or idealist order and is an energy that has touched almost every society and religion on the planet in some way. Watersmeet symbolizes a New World opening of tolerance, understanding, and freedom. She generates creation and new beginnings.  Transpiring here the changing of societal patterns of the past.

This essence helps to open up a “between time” a space to allow traditions, negative patterns, old ways of thinking or feeling and cultural prejudices a “time out” or place to settle, be reabsorbed by the Earth and then to transform. This is a shape shifting ability offered by the waters here for the benefit of humankind.

Here she inspires harmony between the sexes and opens the feminine qualities of understanding, nurturing our inherent need for harmony, peaceful communication and the working out of perceived differences in a peaceful manner. Watersmeet helps one to see the value of working together for the sake of others and devoting oneself to service for the greater good of the community and Mother Earth.

Watersmeet frees your creative life force while helping you to embrace all colors, all religions and all cultures with an open heart and understanding. This essence also teaches you how to control your own energy field, adjusting frequency to come into better harmony with others and changing environments. Allowing you to blend in anonymously and while invisible, to listen better... to creator, others and self.

This lake, known as Gete-gitigaani-zaaga'igan ("Lake of the old garden") in the Anishinaabe language, is located near several major watershed boundaries. It served as an ideal travel/trade hub connecting major waterways and trails to Lake Superior, Lake Michigan and Wisconsin River.
