Plants excite and inspire me. I don't think there has ever been a time in my life that I wasn't somehow playing with or immersing myself in the world of plants in some way. I have a yard full of edible plant life and medicinal herbs and although I spend a lot of time weeding, harvesting and making both food and herbal preparations from my plants -mostly I am simply enchanted by their beauty. Walking through my garden I am easily spellbound by the fragrance of the Sweet Annie as it rises tall and fern like brushing against my pant leg. I marvel at my Rose of Sharon as it continues to blossom for the third month in a row, and l am blown away watching the many bees, butterflies and hummingbirds as they buzz, flutter and fly from bud to bud.
Plants have always been our food and our medicine, they have co-evolved with us from the beginning always providing just what we need, just when we need it.
We are indeed living in some trying times right now and although Flower Essences cannot stop Hurricanes, change political agendas or put out forest fires they do have the ability to help you change your perceptions, balance your feelings and find the courage to take positive action in your life and to again feel that you have the power to promote change in your community and the greater world.
